A rare pair from the hands of an Italian maker — small fabric flowers gathered at the ear, the kind of piece you don’t come across twice.
Petals individually sewn by hand and clustered into a full bloom, 4.5 cm across. The flowers are mounted on a clip fitting and worn close. The thread holding the petals has mellowed to a soft beige with age, a quiet contrast against the white that marks the piece as genuinely of its decade.
Hand-sewn fabric jewellery was a particular craft of 1960s Italy, where ateliers worked textile and trim into wearable forms. Surviving pairs are uncommon — fabric rarely lasts the way metal does, which makes an intact piece like this a real find.
