A signed pair that carries its own history — the kind you wear knowing exactly whose workshop it came from.
Openwork filigree in gold-plated metal, the fine lattice cut and worked so light passes through the form. Compact and lightweight on the ear. Each clip is signed Lisner on the reverse — the mark of a recognised American costume house.
D. Lisner & Company of New York, founded in 1904, became one of the most collected American costume jewellers of the mid-century, known for clean, nature-derived designs that read as modern decades on. The house continued until 1979; a piece marked simply “Lisner,” as this one is, dates from the 1960s, the height of its filigree and faux-pearl work.
