Laid out for a christening lunch, then kept — the first tableware a child owns.
Eight pieces in silver-plated stainless steel, in Létang Rémy’s Versailles pattern: plate, egg cup, tumbler, napkin ring, fork, soup spoon, tea spoon, and a weaning spoon shaped for first solids. A fine bead runs the length of each handle. The pieces have never been used. They come in the original fitted presentation box.
Létang Rémy silver-plated tableware, made in France in the 1970s. The house supplied French households and the hotel trade through the twentieth century, and silver plate over stainless steel was its answer to daily use — the finish of silver on a base that stands up to being handled.
