A pair of Belotti Spaghetti chairs that hold a corner without crowding it — kitchen table, hallway, a desk that wants to look like more than a desk.
The 101 is built from a single bent tube of chrome-plated steel, strung with fine PVC cord across seat and back. The cords flex under weight, so the chair gives slightly as you sit. The clear cord has yellowed to a soft beige with age — a warmer tone than the original clear. Stackable, light to move, and instantly read across a room.
Giandomenico Belotti designed the Spaghetti for Alias in 1979 — the company’s first product, and the first Alias piece taken into the permanent collection of MoMA in New York. Belotti, a Venice-trained architect, worked the line down to a single gesture of steel and cord. Alias still produces it from Italy today; these are vintage examples, sold as a pair.
