A single candle, held at height: the kind of object that changes a table without trying.
Turned from silver-plated brass in a clean modernist form: a slender column rising from a wide circular base, 16 cm tall, with a 9 cm diameter foot that sits with quiet authority. The electroplated silver finish catches light evenly across the surface. No ornament, no excess: a piece shaped entirely by the logic of the Danish modernist tradition.
A Cohr silver-plated candle holder, made in Denmark in the 1960s. The Copenhagen silversmiths were among the defining voices of Scandinavian modernism, producing work that brought restraint and material quality into everyday domestic objects.
