A two-cup moka that pours straight into the cups — set it on the hob, and the coffee arrives where you want it without a second vessel.
Cast aluminium with a Bakelite handle. The distinguishing feature is the pair of spouts: rather than collecting in a top chamber, the coffee divides and pours directly into two cups set beneath. The base is stamped “PURE ALUMINUM 995 — MADE IN ITALY — PATENTED.” Compact enough for one or two, with the heat-resistant handle that marks the classic Italian stovetop form. Unused.
Rapid is one of the Italian stovetop makers that followed the moka into mid-century kitchens, when the two-spout patent designs were a point of difference among the country’s aluminium foundries. This is a 1980s example, kept new and never put to the flame.
